UNLV's Lee Business School will induct the banking trailblazer Selma Bartlett and medical research facility leader Larry Ruvo into the Nevada Business Hall of Fame's class of 2013. The school annually honors influential business leaders in Nevada for their vision, leadership, passion and sense of community. Hall of Fame founders Steve Comer, former managing partner of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP and Richard Flaherty, former dean of the Lee Business School, also will be honored.

The Nevada Business Hall of Fame began in 2002 and is presented by the UNLV Lee Business School and Deloitte & Touche USA LLP and is a leading business-networking event in Southern Nevada. The Hall of Fame has inducted 38 major business leaders from Nevada since its inception. Inductees are selected by the Lee Business School Executive Advisory Board.

The 2013 inductees

• Selma Bartlett - Bartlett was one of the first female bank officers in the state of Nevada. She has been instrumental in the growth of Henderson over the last 50 years, including helping to establish St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. In 1992, the Clark County School District named an elementary school in her honor. She is currently a private banker with Meadows Bank in Henderson.

• Larry Ruvo - Ruvo is senior managing director of Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada, which is the state's largest wholesale liquor, wine, and beer importer and distributor. He also is the founder of and chairman of the nonprofit Keep Memory Alive and the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, an epicenter for research on brain diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Huntington's and more.
