UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration honored several outstanding industry executives recently for their contributions to the hospitality industry.
At the 3rd Annual UNLVino Alumni & Friends Brunch held earlier this month, Stuart Mann, dean of UNLV's hotel college, presented the Industry Executive Awards to the following individuals:
- Tony Santo, senior vice president of Caesars Entertainment - Alumnus of the Year Award
- Cristina Mariani-May, executive vice president of Banfi Vintners - Industry Executive of the Year Award
- George Markantonis, CEO of Atlantis on Dubai - Industry Executive of the Year Award
- Paul Dykstra, president and CEO of GES Exposition Services - Industry Executive of the Year Award
- Joe Louis Barrow, executive director of The First Tee - Industry Executive of the Year Award
Also during the event, UNLV President Carol C. Harter presented Larry Ruvo, senior managing director of Southern Wine and Spirits, the Distinguished University Service Award for his contributions and support to UNLV and UNLVino.
The William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at UNLV is the largest hotel college in the United States with approximately 2,000 undergraduates, 80 master's students, 20 doctoral students, and nearly 7,000 alumni, representing all 50 states and more than 50 countries.
