<strong>American Politics and Foreign Policy</strong>
Ken Fernandez, assistant professor of political science, can speak about public policy, public opinion and political behavior, and direct democracy. He teaches courses in urban politics, ethnic and minority politics, and policy studies.
Jonathan Strand, assistant professor of political science, can speak about the president's foreign policy, as well as issues related to international trade, the global economy and global environmental politics, including the Kyoto Protocol and global climate change.
Joseph Valenzano, assistant professor-in-residence in the Communication Studies department, can speak about the presidency, presidential campaigns, terrorism and political message construction. He teaches classes in political communication, persuasion, rhetorical criticism and supervises all the school's public speaking courses.
<strong>Alternative Energy</strong>
Robert Boehm, distinguished professor of mechanical engineering and the director of the Center for Energy Research at UNLV, can discuss alternative energy, including the efficacy of sources such as solar, hydrogen, geothermal, and others.
<strong>Health Care Reform</strong>
Chris Cochran, associate professor of health care administration and policy, can discuss President Bush's health care proposals. Cochran is the author of several reports on the needs of the medically under-served population and the organizations that provide services to that population. His work has focused on management issues and quality improvement in public organizations.
<strong>No Child Left Behind</strong>
Greg Levitt, professor and chair of the department of curriculum and instruction department in the College of Education, can discuss the evolution and effectiveness of the No Child Left Behind Law.
