Individuals with bipolar I disorder are sought for research examining the cognitive abilities of those with the disorder and their relatives.
The research, conducted by graduate student Linda Frantom, under the direction of psychology professor Daniel Allen, consists of participants performing various cognitive tasks, designed to test memory, learning, and thinking skills.
To be eligible, individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 65, primarily English speaking, have bipolar I disorder, and have a relative in the community willing to participate.
Testing will be conducted on the UNLV campus or at the individual's home, and will take approximately three hours to complete.
