The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) at UNLV will host its annual Midyear Economic Outlook on June 27, from 8 to 11:45 a.m., in Estancia Ballrooms F and G at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson.
The event is open to the public. Registration prior to June 17 is $70 per person or $60 per person for two or more; registration on or after June 17 will be $80.
CBER director Keith Schwer and associate director Bengte Evenson will review current economic conditions and present their forecast for Southern Nevada and the nation. They will address strengths and weaknesses pertaining to hot button issues including rising oil prices, interest rates, jobs, and the dramatic appreciation of real estate.
