The College of Liberal Arts at UNLV presents the University Forum fall lecture series. Free and open to the public, the University Forum brings experts from UNLV and across the nation to discuss a range of political, social and cultural issues. "Forging Constitutional Conservatism"
Boston College political science Professor Ken I. Kersch will discuss debates on how past Supreme Court judges interpreted the U.S. Constitution. He will survey some of the debates that conservatives engaged in and their positions on law, the role of courts and the Constitution.
September 25
"Evaluating American Presidents"
Professor Steven Parker of UNLV's political science department will discuss the factors that make a good president. His analysis will include comparisons of effective and least effective presidents, presidential successes and failures and how history can teach society a lot about leadership in the White House.
