UNLV's Cognition in Aging Laboratory is seeking adults ages 65 to 85 to participate in a study on cognitive aging processes, including memory for language, decision making, and other basic cognitive functions.
Sessions last approximately two hours and will take place at the Cognition in Aging Laboratory, located on the UNLV campus. Participants will receive a modest stipend to cover their time and travel to the university.
Most research in the Cognition in Aging Laboratory involves tasks such as listening to sentences or stories and answering questions, playing decision games, remembering digit or word sequences, and completing information surveys. No medications or invasive procedures are involved.
During the study, participants will learn about how memory works, how daily activities influence cognitive function, how reading and listening processes compare, and how decisions are made.
Individuals interested in participating in the study, or who would like to receive more information, should contact the Cognition in Aging Laboratory at 895-5619 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
