— a live storytelling show — will make its debut in Southern Nevada at UNLV on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
The public is invited to hear from five powerful storytellers who will share their true and authentic experiences beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall on UNLV’s campus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Storytellers include silent magician Teller (of Penn and Teller); Las Vegas novelist, professor, and editor Erica Vital-Lazare; and Chenjerai Kumanyika, the Peabody winning co-host of the podcast “Uncivil.”
Other storytellers include Vikram Krishnasamy, who works at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, and Ruby Cooper, a mother, grandmother, teacher, and writer based in Los Angeles.
The show will be hosted by the comic author and longtime host of the Moth podcast, Dan Kennedy.
UNLV's is hosting the event along with Nevada Public Radio, and "The Believer" magazine, one of the world's leading journals of arts and culture which is produced and edited out of the Black Mountain Institute.
