The MFA program at UNLV consists of a three-year study of creative writing that leads to the Master of Fine Arts, considered the terminal academic degree in the field. The program emphasizes crafting publishable works of poetry or fiction, with rigorous graduate-level coursework that offers preparation for professional careers in writing, teaching, and publishing.
