The Bob Boughner Career Services Center in the UNLV College of Hotel Administration is sponsoring a panel discussion with leading women in the hospitality industry Sept. 23 at UNLV. UNLV students and high school students in Valley High School's Academy of Hospitality and Tourism program will learn about what employers look for in employees when hiring, how women in the hospitality industry balance family and work life and how to become a leader.
Punam Mathur; vice president of human resources of NV Energy will moderate the panelists which are: Valerie Murzl, Corporate Vice President of Human Resources of Station Casinos, Inc.; Cynthia Kiser-Murphey, president of New York New York Hotel & Casino; Renee West, president of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino; Marilyn Winn; president of Bally's, Paris and Rio Hotel & Casino.
A networking session with the guests will be held immediately following the panel between 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UNLV Student Union room 208.
