KUNV, UNLV's community radio station, will sponsor a weekend of concerts April 19-21 at the Winchester Community Center.
Kicking off the festivities on Friday, April 19, will be an evening of salsa hosted by Rae Arroyo, host of KUNV's popular "Latin Connection" show. Music will be provided by the Ricky Arroyo Latin Percussion Ensemble, a Las Vegas group.
On Saturday, April 20, Dave Weide, host of the show "Mostly Folk," will present Australian folk singer Judy Small. Widely considered Australia's premier folk singer, Small is currently on an international tour, including the United States and Europe.
For the Sunday evening show, KUNV general manager Don Fuller will present traditional and progressive jazz with Las Vegas' Ghallib Ghalab Jazz Experience and UNLV's famous Combo Uno.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. each evening, and the shows start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at KUNV, the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office, Nellis Air Force Base, and the Winchester Community Center. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
