The UNLV Performing Arts Center is proud to welcome guitarist Jason Vieaux at 7:30 p.m Friday, April 12, in the Rando-Grillot Recital Hall of the Beam Music Center. Among his extensive discography is the 2015 Grammy Award-winning album for Best Classical Instrumental Solo, Play, from which the track “Zapateado” was also chosen as one of NPR’s “50 Favorite Songs of 2014 (So Far)”. The concert is sponsored Dr. Mitchell and Pearl Forman.
Vieaux has earned a reputation for putting his expressiveness and virtuosity at the service of a remarkably wide range of music, and his schedule of performing, teaching, and studio recording commitments is distinguished throughout the U.S. and abroad. His solo recitals have been a feature at every major guitar series in North America and at many of the important guitar festivals in Asia, Australia, Europe, and Mexico.

UNLV Performing Arts Center patrons are welcome to park in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage. Parking is free after 7 p.m. Monday - Thursday, after 1 p.m. Friday, and all weekend.
Tickets
Tickets to Jason Vieaux are $45 and can be purchased online or by calling at the Performing Arts Center box office at 702-895-ARTS (2787). Student rush tickets are $10 each and available one hour prior to each event with valid student I.D. UNLV faculty and staff discounts also are available. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Information about all of the season's performances can be found on the .

The UNLV Performing Arts Center is Southern Nevada's first home for the arts: it opened in 1976 and celebrates its 43rd season this year. It hosts a variety of performances and events and is home to productions presented by the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, UNLV School of Music, UNLV Dance, Desert Chorale, and the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society. The UNLV PAC also is pleased to host various Clark County School District fine arts festivals and concerts.
