WHAT: Future Scholars Recognition Ceremony
WHEN: May 2 and 3, 2007 at 6 p.m.
WHERE: Cox Pavillion (on the UNLV campus, near the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Swenson Street)
WHY: To honor talented Clark County students who have excelled academically and recognize the role parents play in student success. Awards are presented to all students in attendance. Second, to emphasize the value of higher education and answer student and parent questions about pursuing college degrees.
DETAILS: Approximately 600-800 people are expected to attend each night, for a total attendance of 1,200-1,400. Students are available each night for interviews.
