UNLV, along with the Jean Nidetch Women's Center, the Women's Research Institute of Nevada, and the Woodhull Foundation present "Defining Beauty", an all-day conference examining unrealistic standards of beauty for women and girls. The event begins with a panel discussion featuring internationally acclaimed author Naomi Wolfe, author of the best seller The Beauty Myth. Afternoon sessions focus on development and leadership with workshops in financial literacy, ethical leadership, and negotiation led by facilitators from New York City's Woodhull Institute.
