Sixteen Southern Nevadans representing a broad spectrum of the business community have been selected to serve on the newly created College of Business Advisory Board at UNLV.
"We created the board as part of our continuing effort to get input about our program from the business community," said Elvin C. Lashbrooke, dean of the business college. "We will count on the board to tell us how we are doing in terms of meeting the needs of the local business community and in terms of preparing our students for jobs in the business world.
"The contributions of this board will be crucial to the continued development of the college," he said.
Selected to serve on the board are:

-- Bob Campbell, president and general manager of Nevada Bell Mobile Services.
-- Kirk V. Clausen, president of Norwest Bank Nevada.
-- Jessie Emmett, founder of Jessie Emmett Realty.
-- Lou Emmert, vice president and general manager of Sprint Corporation.
-- Paige P. Fleming, publisher and chief executive officer of Nevada Woman.
-- Julie A. Foley, vice president of CDS Gaming Casino Data Systems.
-- Cindy Gilliam, vice president of retail customer services for Nevada Power Co.
-- George B. Hofmann III, president and chief executive officer of Nevada State Bank.
-- Somer Hollingsworth, president and chief executive officer of the Nevada Development Authority.
