A clean energy economy for the region will require collaboration between researchers, industry leaders, financiers and policy makers. The UNLV Clean Energy Forum brings together leaders from the Brookings Institution, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, RAND Corporation, NV Energy, Southwest Gas, UNLV and more to find solutions to critical issues in clean energy, including:
- National and State Policy Solutions for Effective Clean Energy Deployment
- Current and Future Markets for Renewable Energy Financing
- Clean Energy Technologies Available Now
- Clean and Economical Nuclear Power
Bill Antholis, managing director of the Brookings Institution, and Jon Wellinghoff, chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will offer event keynotes. The Clean Energy Forum is co-presented by the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies and the Urban Sustainability Initiative at UNLV.
