UNLV's fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 27. First-year students attending the William S. Boyd School of Law also will start Aug. 27 with a week of orientation classes. Returning law students will begin the fall semester on Sept. 4.
While instruction officially begins on Aug. 27, students will have an opportunity to register for classes through Aug. 31. However, a late fee will be charged to students who register for classes after Aug. 24.
To help prepare new students for the first day of classes, an orientation will be held Aug. 23-25 on the UNLV campus.
"During the orientation, new students will have the opportunity to attend workshops and college receptions where they can talk with faculty, learn about programs designed to aid in their academic pursuits, and become comfortable with their new campus environment," said Kelly Kehlbeck, program coordinator with campus community development.
Students can learn more about the orientation schedule by calling 895-4450.
