Join the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art for a final celebration before the galleries close for a lighting upgrade. Artists and performers will help say goodbye to the current exhibitions 5-7:30 p.m. Friday. The exhibitions are A Beauteous Tree: Margaret Fuller's Femality, A Common Thread, A Drawing A Day, Cull, Future Relics: Artifacts for a New World, Marking Time, and Spin (after Sol LeWitt).
- Starting at 4 p.m.: Meet Geovany Uranda, the artist behind the Tres Fases mural in Future Relics: Artifacts for a New World.
- 5:30-6:30 p.m.: An interactive performance with Juan Chico (aka artist Adriana Chavez, whose work is featured in both Future Relics and A Common Thread)
- 6:30-7:30 p.m.: Performance and Q&A by Rayen Jones, an expert sign spinner who has been working with artist Yumi J. Roth on Spin (after Sol LeWitt).
- 7-7:30 p.m.: Recuerditos provided by Future Relics artist Emmanuel Muñoz
Entry to the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art is free. Guests are not required to register for this event. UNLV requests that all unvaccinated guests wear masks on campus. Parking on campus is free on Fridays after 1 p.m.

The Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art is located in the heart of the Ê×Ò³| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» campus. The museum is easily accessed from the west side of campus at the intersection of Harmon Avenue and University Center Drive. Drive east on East Harmon Ave until the road enters the campus and terminates in a parking lot. The Museum will be on your right, next to a desert landscape garden. Look up directions online.
Parking
Visitors may park in metered, staff, and student spots free of charge after 7 p.m. on weekdays, 1 p.m. on Fridays, and all day Saturday. Daily, weekly, or monthly permits can be purchased from Parking and Transportation Services. Metered parking spaces for visitors can be found in the parking lot outside the Barrick’s entrance, along East Harmon Ave, and in the lot behind the Lied Library. Other metered green zones are available in the Cottage Grove Avenue Parking Garage and parking areas throughout campus.
