New and old generations of Rebels will come together to celebrate as UNLV’s fall semester classes and 60th anniversary festivities kick off Aug. 28.
For both first-time and returning students, the university has planned a host of activities to generate school spirit, introduce myriad ways to get involved on campus, and to mark UNLV’s 60 years of contributions to Southern Nevada. Alumni, who recall various parts of UNLV’s journey from a single building in 1957 to a thriving research institution of roughly 30,000 in the heart of the nation’s most vibrant community, are invited to share their memories at anniversary events.
Media interested in attending the events are asked to coordinate with the UNLV Office of Media Relations.
