Novelist and poet Toby Olson, a winner of the PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction, will give a reading at UNLV on Feb. 2.
The reading is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. in Frank and Estella Beam Hall, Room 242.
An informal discussion with the author will take place from 11 a.m. until noon at the Moyer Student Union, Room 203. Both events are free and open to the public.
Olson is the author of eight books of fiction and 22 books of poetry. His latest work of fiction is Write Letter to Billy.
Other works include At Sea, Dorit in Lesbos, Utah, and The Woman Who Escaped From Shame.
Olson's reading is sponsored by Red Rock Review and by the creative writing program in UNLV's English department.
