Author and UNLV alumnus Bruce Layne will be the featured speaker at an April 29 luncheon hosted by the UNLV College of Business Alumni Association.
The event, which is open to the public, is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Blasco Event Wing of the UNLV Foundation Building. Reservations are required.
Layne is the author of "My Gift," a book about overcoming the challenges of his family's split-up, his disastrous first attempt at college, his efforts to revolutionize the insurance industry, his foray into state politics, and his current battle against Parkinson's disease. Layne's story of success has been called a celebration of friendship, a collection of wisdom, and a confession of faith.
Tickets to the luncheon are $25 for members of the UNLV College of Business Alumni Association and $40 for the general public. Space is limited. Reservations can be made by calling 895-3904.
