Acclaimed authors William Kittredge, Annick Smith, and Greer Chesher will discuss the importance of the U.S. West in life, writing, and filmmaking during a free lecture sponsored by the UNLV Department of English, Department of Film, and the Black Mountain Institute. Kittredge is author of "Hole in the Sky" and co-producer of the film "A River Runs Through It" ; Smith is author of "In This We Are Native" and is a founding member of the Sundance Film Institute; and Greer Chesher is the author of "Heart of the Desert Wild."
