Biography
Mark J. Lutz is associate professor of political science. He studies classical and early modern political philosophy, focusing on issues surrounding politics and religion and on the theoretical foundations of modern liberal democracy. He is the author of (1998) and (2012). In addition to publishing chapters in several edited volumes of political theory, he has published articles in journals such as the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, and Polity. He is the director of North American Chapter of the Society for Greek Political Thought.
