Biography

Cass Shum is associate professor of hospitality organization behavior at UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. Her research focuses on employees' unethical behaviors and contemporary organizational behavioral challenges in the hospitality industry. These include abusive supervision, racial and sexual discrimination, rule-breaking behaviors, industry turnover, and the use of robots.

Shum’s works can be found in both mainstream and hospitality-focused peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Hospitality Management, and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. Prior to joining UNLV,  Shum was a research assistant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a visiting scholar at University of Florida.
