With extra time in your schedule and curiosity for what lies ahead — why not visit campus? UNLV is open during its winter break and will offer campus tours Monday through Saturday during winter break.
A campus visit includes an admissions presentation and a tour of UNLV’s beautiful campus and state-of-the-art facilities. You will hear a little campus history from our knowledgeable Rebel Recruiter tour guides while learning more about the student experience, campus life, and academic departments.
Escape the post-holiday blues, and learn more about the UNLV campus. Here's a sneak peek at our five most popular tour spots.
Lied Library
One of the largest buildings on campus, Lied Library boasts 2,500 study spaces, from computer workstations and quiet study floors to group study rooms. This state-of-the-art facility also has a (very cool!) robotic retrieval system capable of storing 1.2 million volumes, so you’re never without the resources you need!
Hey Reb! Statue
The Hey Reb! statue of UNLV’s mascot is one of the most identifiable spots on campus (and a great photo op!). Rumor has it that rubbing his mustache is good luck, especially before exams!
Student Union
Located centrally on UNLV’s campus, the Student Union is a popular meeting place. It houses food options (sushi burrito, anyone?), a game room, and meeting space, so it’s always buzzing with activity. The Student Union also houses CSUN — UNLV’s student government — as well as offices for the variety of Registered Student Organizations on campus.
Dayton Complex (campus housing)
Dayton Complex is reserved for first-year students, offering double and limited triple room configurations, and featuring WiFi, premium cable TV, social/game lounges, a computer lab, a conference room, and in-building laundry. Optional special interest floors at Dayton include Academic Support, First-Year Hotel Student's, Major Exploration, and Study-Intensive.
Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC)
The SRWC is your place on campus for wellness and fun! With cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights, pools, an indoor track (with great views of the city and mountains!), multi-use courts, and good exercise classes, there’s something for everyone. The SRWC also contains the Student Health Center, Pharmacy, and Rebel Wellness Zone, which give you access to doctors, mental health care, nutritionists, and personal training.
Bonus Stop: The Talisman
Don't forget to check out the Talisman Statue on campus — if you can spot the “U-N-L-V” letters in the twisted metal, you’re destined to be a Rebel!
