The UNLV Community Garden is gearing up for a plentiful spring with a series of expert workshops on topics that will help the novice backyard farmer turn that thumb green. The expert training will include a composting for chefs class, a kitchen building class, and the newly created Plant (ED) farmer’s market - where gardening and sustainability experts will be available to teach skills and tricks to run a backyard garden. All events are free and open to the public.

The Community Garden is located right next to the Rebel Recycling Center on Flamingo Rd. near Swenson St.. The entrance is by the Stan Fulton Building Parking Lot.

The UNLV Community Garden is the place on campus to help create a sense of community, learning and sustainability among students, faculty and staff through the common goal of producing 100 percent organic, natural harvests. The garden features more than 40 raised beds, 100% organic soil, composting, and a sustainable art showcase and is a great event space.
