Team Las Vegas has been hard at work for months to bring its Sinatra Living, its entry into the 2017 Solar Decathlon competition to life. Now it's time to help give them a boost.
The is currently in Denver for the competition, which runs through Oct. 15. From now until Saturday, you can vote on the page for the People's Choice winner, which will be announced on the final day of competition.
Sinatra Living is the result of a group of 25 students across disciplines from engineering, hotel administration, and architecture to allied health sciences. The focus of the house is on aging-in-place — a home that can be modified to suit the needs of an aging population as the original owners enter their twilight years.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, Solar Decathlon selected just 13 university teams from around the world, challenging them to compete across 10 categories. UNLV took first among American universities in 2013 with its DesertSol home, now on display at the Las Vegas Spring Preserve.
