Dr. Sonal Shah (Dental) developed and led two continuing education courses during the Academy of General Dentistry annual meeting in July. Her presentations are titled, “The Mouth-Body Connection: Oral Manifestations of Systemic Diseases,” and “What is It and What Do I Do with It: Common Oral Lesions and Their Management.”
Shah also organized and performed free oral cancer screenings during the annual meeting on behalf of the Academy of General Dentistry Foundation. Fellow faculty members Dr. Maryam Tabrizi and Dr. Moni Ahmadian (both UNLV Dental) also participated in the screenings and supported the cause.
