Sheila Bock (Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies) contributed an essay, "Masks On," to the Nevada Humanities Heart to Heart program. In this piece, she reflects on how the expressive culture surrounding masks during COVID-19 can simultaneously work to reinforce our sense of connection to others and lay bare tensions within our communities.
