Shaoan Zhang, Danny Unger, Jinkun Shen, Melissa Seltenreich, and David Monroe (all Teaching and Learning) presented their research at the in Chicago. They presented on the impacts of informal learning opportunities on pre-service teachers’ learning to teach. They presented their Nevada Institute on Teaching & Educator Preparation research project in progress, which is focused on engaging pre-service teachers in informal learning experiences and field experiences to enhance their teacher education. Unger, Shen, Seltenreich, and Monroe are doctoral students.
