Professor (Law) gave a lecture to the employees of the National Labor Relations Board (up to 1200 invited) online during the agency's commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month on Sept. 26, 2023. Garcia followed remarks by board chairman Lauren McFerran, appointed by President Biden in 2020, and NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo, also appointed by the president in 2020. The title of Garcia's talk was, "Why the Work of the National Relations Board Matters to Latinos/as."
