This research article highlights the value of utilizing community-based research principles, tenets, and practices to examining issues that people living with HIV/AIDS experiencing neurocognitive challenges encounter when they attempt to avail and access mental health, social, and support services in the community. It underscores the importance of promoting the meaningful involvement of community stakeholders with relevant lived and work experiences in the entire research process, and creating spaces for more equitable collaborations and partnerships in real-world settings.
