Renato "Rainier" M. Liboro (Psychology), along with Robb Travers and Ketan Shankardass both from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, recently published an open-access, peer-reviewed journal article, "Stakeholder Perspectives on Ontario's Bill 13: A Macrosystem-level Intervention Supporting Gay-Straight Alliances and Other Initiatives Affirming LGBT Youth," in the .
Their research article highlights the findings and lessons learned from their community-based participatory research study that critically examined (based on the perspectives of relevant diverse community stakeholders) the impact of a progressive and controversial provincial piece of legislation on various regional publicly-funded (secular and Catholic) school programs and policies in the province of Ontario, Canada, dedicated to support the mental health and well-being of sexual and gender minority students. The Global Journal of Community Psychology Practice is the recipient of the 2019 Don Klein Publication Award that is bestowed by the American Psychological Association Division 27 Society of Community Research and Action (Community Psychology Division).
