Rebeka D'Amato, Priscilla Gutierrez, Chelsea Heinbach, Bibiana Lopez, Eduardo Martinez-Flores, Rosan Mitola, David Ramos-Candelas, and Amy Tureen (all Libraries) recently had work featured at the conference presented by The Ohio State University Libraries, the Association of Research Libraries, and the Association of College & Research Libraries.
Lopez and Ramos-Candelas, both Flora and Stuart Mason Undergraduate Peer Research Coaches in the University Libraries, presented "," with librarians Mitola and Heinbach. The panel shared findings and ideas for practical application derived from a community-based participatory research project that investigated the unique strengths, lived experiences, and preferred learning environments of first-gen students. The study was co-authored with fellow peer coaches D'Amato, Gutierrez, and Martinez-Flores.
Tureen presented the poster, "." The poster presented information on how UNLV has transitioned to an active diversity recruitment model by changing job ads, job requirements, application processes, and application materials in an effort to recruit a more diverse library faculty and staff.
