received a $100,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare to introduce a new tele-home visiting pilot program that will check in with new parents two to four weeks after discharge from the hospital as well as provide additional support and engagement in mental and behavioral health services.
This is part of UnitedHealthcare's efforts to award $500,000 in grants to four community-based organizations in Nevada to expand access to care and address the social determinants of health for uninsured individuals and underserved communities. In total, UnitedHealthcare is donating $11 million in grants through its Empowering Health program across 11 states. The grants will assist individuals and families experiencing challenges from food insecurity, social isolation and behavioral health issues, and support local health promotion and health literacy efforts.
