Peter Michel (Libraries) has been awarded a City of Las Vegas Historic Preservation Commission Annual Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation. He was selected for the award for his "tireless efforts to curate and preserve historical collections of manuscripts, architectural renderings, maps, and other materials that document the history of Las Vegas and Southern Nevada." Michel will be honored at the Historic Preservation Commission Meeting on Oct. 28.
