Dr. Moni Ahmadian, D.M.D. and Dr. Jean C. Shen, D.M.D. (both Dental) co-authored and presented "Dentoalveolar Manifestations as the Presenting Sign of Gardner Syndrome" as a poster in 2023 annual American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP) meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their abstract reported the oral and radiographic manifestations of Gardner syndrome in a 14 year-old female patient that prompted timely diagnosis and early interdisciplinary treatment of the case. Ahmadian is an associate professor of oral pathology and director of UNLV Oral Pathology Biopsy Service. Shen is a resident at UNLV Orthodontic Residency program. This project was completed in collaboration with Dr. Joseph Lasky, M.D., director of Cure 4 the Kids Foundation, a division of Roseman University of Health Sciences.
