(Online Education) has been selected to make presentations at three conferences. In October, he will present at the in Jackson Hole, Wyo. His presentation, "Evaluation of UNLV's Hybrid Learning Program," is part of a symposium on Learning about Program Evaluation by Doing Program Evaluation. In November, he will participate in a panel, Got Leadership? IELOL (Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning) Graduates Share Insights into Development of Leadership in Online Learning, as part of the 19th annual on Online Learning in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Also in November, he will present "Leveraging Analytics to Improve Online Courses"at the 2013 annual conference in Denver. The presentation will define learning analytics, explain some of the data points that can be obtained, provide examples of how this data can be applied, identify current research, and examine some basic challenges. This presentation also will provide a case study of a course that was analyzed and improved using data gathering methods (such as Google Analytics and LMS data tracking reports) that are often readily available to any online educator.
