Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health) coauthored an abstract titled, “,” in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (the first-ranked journal in Dermatology with an IF of 11.527) along with coauthors from University of Mississippi Medical Center. The cross-sectional study found that self-perceived comparative risk increases for skin cancer, as opposed to absolute risk, were significantly associated with greater sunscreen use in keratinocyte carcinoma patients. This is a useful finding for designing interventions.
