Lucas Graff and Federick Ngo (both Educational Psychology and Higher Education) presented a paper titled "Why is the Squad on the Quad?: Predictors of Police Presence on College Campuses" at the annual meeting of the Association for the Study of Higher Education.
The study examines whether the total number and type of police officers on four-year college campuses is linked to differences in racial/ethnic demographics and differences in crime across campuses, and whether police presence responds to shifts in these measures over time. Graff is a doctoral student.
