The article "Advancing the Nuclear Safety and Security Culture Post-Fukushima: Strengthening the Broader Humanitarian Impacts Agenda" was recently published in the (BASIC) Emerging Voices Network (EVN). Radiochemistry Ph.D. candidate, Liuba Pauline Williams (Chemistry and Biochemistry) is a first author in the policy paper which analyzes the evolution of nuclear safety standards, particularly post-Fukushima. The paper proposes multiple policy options for enhancing safety and increasing public awareness of the safe development of nuclear energy.
