Dr. Jyoti Mago, Dr. Neamat Hassan, and third-year dental students Luke Smith and Nicholas Bautista (all Dental), presented "Identifying Indirect Restorations using two-dimensional Imaging and three-dimensional imaging by using low dose and standard protocols on two different CBCT Machines” during the poster session of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology meeting. The study concluded that radiographic assessment tools can aid dental practitioners in differentiating various fixed restorative materials in the mouth. On a two-dimensional radiograph, assessment appears to be more reliable as compared to three-dimensional imaging.
