Jungnam Kim (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) published the manuscript “” in the Professional School Counseling Journal. She worked alongside colleagues at California State University at Fresno on the relationship between high school sophomores’ purpose orientations and their postsecondary completion a decade later by examining the data from the Educational Longitudinal Study of 2002. This study has highlighted the importance of supporting students in cultivating a sense of purpose in life, pursuing a career path that resonates with their life’s purpose, and further grasping the role of postsecondary education in fulfilling their purpose.
