Joseph B. Curran (Anthropology) has co-authored an article, with with David E. Raymond, an associate professor in the California State University, Los Angeles department of mechanical engineering. The article has been published in (JAMT). In this article an innovative interdisciplinary approach was utilized to understand how war clubs were used, how lethal trauma was inflicted, and what types of wounds these weapons potentially caused while used for Indigenous warfare in pre-contact Southern California. JAMT is the leading journal in its field and presents original articles that address method- or theory-focused issues of current archeological interest and represent significant explorations on the cutting edge of the discipline. Curran is a graduate student (ABD) of archeology.
