Dr. Nate Hollister (Medicine), John Mercer (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences), and Scott McDonald of Magnum Opus organized the second Circus Performance Research Roundtable on Oct. 13.
UNLV Sports Innovation and Magnum Opus, a Southern Nevada research group, hosted this roundtable for UNLV faculty, students (undergraduate, M.S., and Ph.D.), sport industry professionals, and circus performance community members. The discussion covered the state of research on circus performers, including injury (and injury prevention), biomechanics, mental health, and economic factors.
