Joanne Goodwin (History) has written a chapter for a book, Oral History, Community, and Work in the American West, which will be published next year. The chapter, "Women at Work in Las Vegas, 1940-1980," examines the ways in which the history of the Las Vegas tourism industry and its female workers could not be fully understood without the firsthand accounts offered through the oral history method.
