Jessica Immonen, Ph.D. and Jeremy James, D.M.D, (both Dental) worked with a team of UNLV faculty and students including Linh Nguyen, Ph.D.; Jason Ciccotelli, D.P.T., Ph.D.; Mackenzie Kitchens; Conner Paul; and Landen Broadhead to publish an article titled, "." This work discovered comparable cartilage pathology found in the TMJ and the knee joint and highlighted sex- and age-based trends in presentation of gross signs of OA in a cadaveric population. Important dental and orthopedic patient care considerations are discussed.
