Jennifer Byrnes (Anthropology) has co-authored an article that appears in the journal Science & Justice.
The article, co-authored with William Belcher (University of Nebraska, Lincoln), presents archaeological and anthropological evidence of a unique forensic anthropology case of multi-species scavenging in Hawaii involving feral pigs and dogs. This publication contributes to the understanding of taphonomic processes specifically in the Pacific Islands of Hawaii and the unique terrestrial vertebrate scavengers present.
