Jenna Weglarz-Ward and Joseph Morgan (both Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education) were awarded $197,000 per year grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs for 2023-2028. Promoting Inclusive Early Childhood Education for Nevada (PIECE--NV) will provide support to NSHE associate degree programs in embedding early childhood special education content into their coursework and field experiences and help students articulate from communities colleges to four-year institutions to pursue their early childhood education degrees and educator licensure.
