Jeffrey Cummings (Brain Health) and co-authors recently published an article proposing brain health be considered a global public health concern that rises to the level of international diplomacy. Their novel approach called ) acknowledges the many issues affecting brain health including diet, aging, trauma, and physical activity that require policy-level solutions. In particular, the authors outline a model to maximize the benefits of rapidly advancing technological innovations and mitigate its downsides to help people and communities across the world. To do so, the authors note that collaboration is vital across many disciplines including political, ethical, cultural, and economic.
